Cadbury Mini Egg Milkshake

Easter brings all the Cadbury eggs to my yard and I’m like, let’s make a milkshake! (Yeah I’m aware that was probably very cheesy but I don’t care because I payticularly LOVE easter candy) It has always been my favorite seasonal edition of candy and I’m pretty sure it has to do with all the pretty pastel colors. Whenever easter comes around and stores like Target are filled with easter themed candy, I just feel so warm inside because well spring has also sprung by that time. I know right now it’s a little hard to grocery shop with the virus going around, but if you can quickly grab some Cadbury eggs and vanilla ice cream with your regular groceries to take your mind off of things and have a fun, colorful milkshake, I highly recommend.

Note: I made about one full cup size milkshake, but feel free to double the recipe for more milkshakes

Prep Time: 60 minutes ( I gave that time if you make everything in one day, which I don’t recommend) I made the brownies the day before I wanted to make the milkshake, so my time was cut down to 30 minutes)

Recipe for Brownies:
First, I started by making the brownies a day before so I’ll start with those.

Ingredients:
Instant Brownie mix of choice
1/2 Teaspoon instant coffee of choice mixed with 1/4 Teaspoon of water, then heat that up for 15 seconds and set it aside to cool down.
1/4 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Cadbury Mini Eggs

Step 1: Line pan with vegetable oil and parchment paper

Step 2: Mix all the ingredients together required for the brownie mix and then add the coffee mixture with the vanilla extract and combine together. I just use a whisk for this but feel free to use any type of stand or hand held mixture.

Step 3: Bake for the desired time the box says and once they come out of the oven, just let them cool for about 3 minutes. Then gently press in the Cadbury mini eggs so they start setting into the top of the brownies

Step 4: After they cool, cut them into small rectangles since they have to sit on the milkshake and store them in a glass container if you make them a day before

Recipe for Whipped Cream:
Prep Time: 3-5 minutes
I made this just an hour before the milkshake

Ingredients:
1 Cup cold Heavy Whipping Cream
3 Tablespoons Confectioner Sugar
1/4 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Step 1: I mixed all of this together using an electric hand mixer and mixed at medium to high speed until soft white peaks were formed and there was no liquid left over

Step 2: After, I covered it in plastic wrap and just chilled it while I went on with the rest of the recipe

Glass Rim Decor:
Milkshake glass or glasses
White Melting Chocolate
Variety of Easter Sprinkles

Step 1: Melt chocolate until it’s a smooth consistency

Step 2: Dip the rim of the glass until it’s fully covered in white chocolate, and then cover it in as many sprinkles as you would like and let it chill in the fridge until your milkshake is done

Recipe for Milkshake:
Prep Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:
1 1/2 scoops of slightly softened Vanilla Ice Cream
1/3 Cup Milk (use a more full fat milk to make milkshake thicker)
1/4 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream ( Not the whipped cream that you made)
Cadbury Mini Eggs
Easter Sprinkles
Extras:
*You can add Alcohol if you want to make boozy milkshakes if you are of legal age and you like them*
Straws

Step 1: In a Ziploc bag, crush up as many Cadbury mini eggs and one mixture of easter sprinkles, so they are ready to be blended into your ice cream

Step 2: Add the ice cream, milk, heavy whipping cream, crushed mini eggs, and sprinkles into a blender and just blend until you get the perfect milkshake consistency you enjoy. Then using a spoon, I kept checking while I blended to make sure the milkshake was how I liked it.

Step 3: Assemble your milkshake by pouring it into the decorated glass. Then, dollop your freshly made whipped cream on top and put sprinkles on the whipped cream and top it with your Cadbury mini egg brownie.

There you have it. A semi-homemade milkshake that you can make during easter or since most of us are currently working or doing school from home, you can enjoy this milkshake any time and make your day a little sweeter.
Don’t forget to take a picture:)
